The AGM and Spring show was held on the 31^st March in Molash Village Hall. It proved to be a great night with 28 exhibits from 11 members. Over 30 people attended and had lots of fun informally judging the various exhibits and then enjoying some refreshments – liquid and otherwise! Thanks to Anne Loftus for making sandwiches and Chris Bridges for organising the raffle.

Winning Bob McGee cup for best in show was Anne Loftus with a mini arrangement. Other winners included Karen Mudge, Rosemary Tilt, Elizabeth Johnson, Des Sladden and Sheila Freeman. Congrats to all!

Bonjour. The French trip to the Jardins de Valloires on 9^th June is now full and we look forward to a great day out. We leave early with the following pickups: 1) The George at Molash at 07.30 & 2) The Chequers at Challock at 07.45. Please be on time as the ferry is booked and will not wait for us ....... it’s a long swim to Calais! Don’t forget your passport. Merci.

The Society has donated a tree to Challock which will be planted on the 4^th June on The Lees to mark the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.

Our Joy of Summer Show will be held on Friday the 13^th July at Molash Village Hall with staging from 6pm to 7.15pm. Show opens at 7.30pm. Come and join us for an entertaining evening where attendees will again be judging the exhibits in an informal but meaningful way. The usual pattern will be followed:- a glass of wine, good food, exciting raffle prizes to be won and a good chat with anyone you want to chat to. How can you resist?

The committee are looking to bring back the gardening society supper that used to be so much fun for many. Do you remember attending one? Would you like to see them again? Members and villagers are invited to give us their thoughts on time of year to hold the supper; venue; type of food and entertainment you would like to see. Tell us what you think.

      We are seeking your help to create a logo to be used by the Society. If you are creative, artistic or just have good ideas then your Society needs YOU! Sketches/drawings/bits of paper stuck on other bits of paper all count ...... Da Vinci you do not need to be!

Go on, give it a twirl and show us what you can do, we promise not to laugh (well, not too much) at anything. Logo must include  text of "Challock and Molash Gardening Society" but you can decide style, colour and any graphics etc. Sound exciting?? A small but elegant prize will be given for the logo chosen by our members and of course your name will be credited for all to see!
